MAY ARTS MONTH: Seafood Cocktail Themed Art Exhibition
8:30am

From vibrant King Prawns…Sculptured Kelp…Painted Paua Shells…Marinated Mussels…Oceans…Beaches…to Driftwood…Trees, Tides and the Moon, Crabby Platters and even Venus herself, all blend together to bring you a sensational selection of seafood flavoured Art by the following
 Southland Artists:

Maree Beker, Jane Duncan, Wayne Hill, Rhonda Hall, Lynley Tuckey,
Tanya Ann Johnson, Greg Salmond, Brydie Baxter, Lisa Grace, Cassandra Wilson, Jenni Petterson, Stewart D Moore, Sandra Brumby, Mary Witsey, Mags Meechang,
Jo Cleeton, Suzette Morgan, Chavah Kinloch and Jude Winchester.

Collectively these 19 Artists have produced this creative array of seafood inspired art specifically for Invercargill’s inaugural May Arts Month, coinciding with the Bluff Seafood and Oyster festival.  A call went out to a range of Southland Artist’s about a month ago to encourage collaboration amongst the artists, galleries and art enthusiasts alike.  It is an opportunity for creative minds to join forces by means of a mutual theme and celebrate the richness of Southlands environmental and seafood subjects.  It is an occasion to merge with like-minded talents, and fuel each others creative energies and to delight in everything seafood associated in Southland!
